The greatest vampire novel ever written. It invokes that familiar seventies feel which I grew up in. No cell phones. No computers. Again the story is based on a writer, but this time he's our hero, who along with a teenage horror geek and a skeptical doctor battle the evil that has befallen the quiet town of Salem's Lot. The idea fo the story was based on ghost town legends - why do towns vanish - well their citizens anyway? A 5 star read from cover to cover.
