Cujo is another isolationist novel by Stephen King. This time mother and baby son are trapped in their flimsy car as a rabid St Bernard goes on the rampage. Mother and son have no food, no water and the only help comes from the mechanic they visit that day. But Cujo takes of his master first then headbutts the car, rocking it violently, stalking it night and day, drooling thick slobber. The mother has to use all her guile to escape a most unpleasant death. How does she outwit Cujo? The tension leaves you breathless from the moment the car arrives in the yard.
